Chris Rock to host ‘Saturday Night Live,’ Prince to appear as musical guest
The comedian is the third ‘SNL’ alum to host the show during its 40th anniversary season. Rock’s episode will air Nov. 1.
Chris Rock is the latest “Saturday Night Live” alum returning to host the show this season.
The comedian has been tapped to host “SNL” on Nov. 1, with Prince on board as a musical guest, the show announced Tuesday on Twitter.
Rock’s return to the “SNL” stage marks his second time hosting the show since departing the cast in 1993. (He previously hosted in 1996.) Two other fellow alums, Sarah Silverman and Bill Hader, hosted the show’s second and third episodes of its 40th anniversary season.
The episode also marks Prince's second time on the show. He previously served as "SNL's" musical guest in 1981.
While Rock acknowledged the news by simply tweeting, “I’m back,” Prince posted a more memorable tweet.
